Dear Mr. Pillstrom, Your reliable tongs, which I consider the best snake handling tools available, recently helped a coworker and me avoid a very sticky situation. We were harvesting snakes, primarily larger rattlers, from a ridge on the backside of our ranch in Texas. This ridge is marked by long, deep-running crevices along its length, creating a nearly honeycombed appearance with caves.
